This brilliant family tour shows off Iceland's unbelievable diversity of landscape - geysers, icecaps, volcanoes and lots of impressive waterfalls. From the vibrant capital of Reykjavik, we complete a circuit through Iceland's spectacular south-west, stopping off to see the geysers at Geysir and the amazing waterfall of Gullfoss. We also visit a Viking farmhouse and take a dip in the superb hot springs at Landmannalaugar as we cross the Fjallabak wilderness. A boat trip amongst icebergs at Glacier Lagoon, a trip to see the puffins and a walk on the Solheimajokull Glacier are also included. A dip in the famous Blue Lagoon is the final highlight of this family adventure of truly volcanic proportions!

This is primarily a sightseeing tour amongst the natural wonders of Iceland. We have incorporated a range of activities including a couple of easy walks, a boat trip on the Glacier Lagoon, the Landmannalaugar hot springs, walking on a glacier, high ropes course and caving in lava tubes. The morning on the glacier everyone is equiped with crampons and ice axes and the necesary safety equipment. There is also a specialist guide. It is an approx 2hr exploration of the glacier. For the caving and the high ropes, again all safey equipment is provide. The min age for these activities is 8yrs. The holiday also includes a couple of longish days of driving, with one of these days (across the Fjallabak) on rough roads in a 4WD minibus. The accommodation is simple and is generally in simple guesthouses with shared facilities.
