On our website we display a UK Flight inclusive package price and Land only package price for the majority of our holidays. For some destinations we have chosen to sell the trip on a Land only package basis only (these are mainly trips to the Alps and Morocco where you can take advantage of booking direct with low cost carriers).
The majority of KE clients in the UK choose to book a Flight Inclusive Package letting KE take care of both their holiday and flight arrangements, and thereby taking advantage of the full financial protection offered by the ATOL bonding scheme administered by the Civil Aviation Authority. This also includes the support of the KE office if you have missed connections or delays which are out of your control (for example volcanic ash clouds).
For most of our holidays, we select a preferred flight (see dates and prices) and use the cost of this to show an estimated flight inclusive price. Please be aware that there are often only a limited number of seats available at the advertised price. To avoid paying flight supplements, we recommend that you book as early as possible, especially during peak times. If we are unable to secure seats at the price shown, or you have requested regional departures or flights with an alternative carrier, we will contact you with an alternative quote.
It is sometimes possible for us to book flights from regional UK airports. Please specify on your booking form which airport you wish to depart from and our flights department will contact you with a quote.
On most long-haul flights it is possible to request a specific meal. Please ensure that you inform the KE office of this well in advance. Please note that on certain short-haul flights meals are no longer provided, although snacks can usually be purchased onboard.
Certain airlines permit us to request seats in advance of check-in. Some clients request exit or bulk head seats for more leg room, or a window seat, however it is usual that you cannot book these seats in advance of check-in. Please contact the KE flights department if you wish to request specific seats.
The majority of airlines now allow and encourage online check-in which you can usually do at least 48hrs prior to departure. When you have received your E-tickets from KE you will have all the necessary references to allow you to do this.
KE is not responsible for excess baggage charges. Please ensure that you aware of the baggage allowance on the airline that you are travelling with. Note that sometimes if you are changing planes en-route that there maybe a different baggage allowance and this might also occur on domestic flights. If you are travelling with a bike please ensure you are aware of the specific bike baggage limitations on the airline. Please contact the KE flights department if you are unsure of your limit.
In response to recent increases in the price of oil, most airlines are imposing fuel surcharges. As per our booking conditions, if the surcharge exceeds 2% of the total price of your travel arrangements, any additional surcharge costs will be passed on to you together with an administration fee of £1. Should you pay for your air ticket when you book, we will be able to issue the ticket on your behalf immediately. Once the ticket has been issued, the airline cannot apply any further fuel surcharges and you would therefore be protected from any further potential fuel cost increases. We strongly advise that you choose this option.
